Let us share an analogy with you. Imagine you have twelve people in a small community, and each one wants to throw a party. The issue is that each one wants the party to be at their own house with their own theme. Month after month goes by and nobody ever has a party, because everyone is too stubborn to have the party at someone else's house.

Now let's imagine that everyone decides to take turns having parties each month. They get to pick the theme and everyone is invited. Just by deciding to come together and take turns, in one year they have 12 parties, whereas before there were no parties at all. Banded Efforts makes the second scenario possible for charities.

Banded Efforts asks people from all different walks of life and with different interests and concerns to unite together in order to make meaningful progress within their local communities. This means that everyone deserves to have a voice and every organization should have an equal chance to make an impact. By using the voting system we prioritize the changes that the community agrees should be done first, while at the same time leaving nobody behind.

To ensure the trust of our supporters, we make all of our financial activity fully transparent and available upon request. We also partner with and audit already established organizations within the community.

Your community is the county in which you live.

87% of every dollar you donate are strictly for your own county. We believe in localizing charity so that every community has the opportunity to grow.

As of right now we are strictly focusing on Perry County, Pennsylvania, but that does not mean that our work here cannot be used for similar communities. With the proper resources, we certainly have plans on expanding.

Banded Efforts is designed to run on very little resources. Because of this we are able to donate a full 90% of our subscriptions to every project we fund. The remaining 10% goes towards maintaining the website, merchant services, operating costs, and employment.

No. All projects go through an approval process in which we research the goals of the project, and ensure it will benefit the entire community. Through the recruitment of relevant experts, we take a comprehensive and fully unbiased look at the projects. While working with expediency, we take as much time as needed to complete a critical thinking process and ensure that we have a full understanding of the history, facts, and relevant perspectives before approval.

There is a limit based on the amount of donors that are subscribed to Banded Efforts. We only accept funding requests that will take no more than two months to fully fund. We will provide partial funding, but the organization requesting assistance must already have the remainder of the costs.

The projects that receive the most votes for each category receive funding first. This is per county, so every county has its own set of projects being funded.

Banded Efforts is all about supporting one another, sharing our goals and efforts, and taking turns with progress. Nothing in this world is free, and if we expect the support of our neighbors, we have to be willing to give that support back. With that said, every project is highly researched and we do our best to ensure that there are no communal conflicts prior to approving a project for funding. You may not care about the environment as much as your neighbor does, but helping your neighbor plant a few trees for their support with your concerns is worth while trade.

All donations for that specific county will be stored until more projects get submitted.

We only accept projects from our charitable collaborators through a project form. If you have a project you would like to have funded, talk to one of your local organizations that aligns with the idea. They may endorse the idea and submit it to us.

If you have lots of ideas, consider forming a charitable organization to help your community!

Currently we do not have any employment opportunities. However, some of the projects we fund require volunteers, which will be sent out via our newsletter. Whenever we decide to expand we will make sure that our supporters and communities are aware of any employment opportunities.

It is imperative that we all do our part in making your community a better place to live, and what you do doesn't have to be difficult. All it takes is:​
